The Kingdom of Temples

Siem Reap, Cambodia (Second Day)
22 - 25 Oct 2010

Love to drink coconut water after an exhausting, hot day

We went out early at 5.30am to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, but unfortunately, there was no sunrise on that day. Cos the skies were cloudy.

Angkor Wat - one of The Eight Wonders of The World

Love this pic!

Our favourite fried mee and homemade soya bean! REALLY AWESOME I TELL YOU. Have I mentioned that any fried mee/fried rice in Siem Reap is damn nice?
Cambodian food is not as oily as Msian food, and their food is very similar to Chinese food, really nice.

Sunset

Faraway Temple or better known as The Lady Temple

At Ta Prohm Temple - The Tomb Raider temple
King Jayavarman VII dedicated this temple to his mother (Fuhh now I know a bit of their history woots)

Ta Prohm also has a lot of huge gigantic trees like this

At Bayon Temple, the Temple with a lot of smiling faces.

Fried pork dish - DAMN SEDAP I TELL YOU

Ah Du went to the kitchen and cut these mangoes for us. Aww :)

Loveeee this pic of us!

AWESOME FRIED RICE

Went clubbing at night :)

I am fascinated by the temples that they have. Each of them has its own beauty and history.
Certainly one of my best trips ever.

Cambodia : The Kingdom

Siem Reap, Cambodia (First Day)
22 - 25 Oct 2010

Harro, finally blogging about Cambodia after 2 months LOL

At War Museum

Was quite depressing at the museum because we learnt about their war, their sufferings, their hardships, their landmines, their survival.
Made us so appreciative of what we have back in our own country.

At Artisan D'Angkor -where they do art pieces, potteries, etc

At a spot near the entrance of Angkor Thom city during sunset

Our hotel - Casa Angkor Boutique Hotel

Decent price for a 3.5 - 4 star hotel, only RM104/night from agoda.com

The pool area

At sunset, we went to buy our Angkor Wat 1 day pass at USD 20 (If you want the 3 days pass, it's USD40)

Took pics on the spot!

Us in the tuk tuk :)

Mama Jennifer and I :)

Us at the entrance of Angkor Thom City

at Psar Chaa, Old Market where you get nice stuff at cheap prices! Like USD 2.00 for a shawl !

Or USD 1.50 for a T-shirt!

Then at night, we went for a buffet dinner while watching their traditional Apsara dance. We were hungry like dinosaurs so we ate everything LOL

I sibeh heart this soup, it tastes like shark fin's soup but there wasn't any shark fins inside lah
