St Mark's Basilica

11 - 12 June 2011
Location : St Mark's Basilica, Venice, Italy

I gasped when I saw St Mark's Basilica! The paintings on the building are just so magnificient, beyond words. So so so beautiful that you just have to see it for yourself.

Ahhh pigeons everywhere

Am amazed by this painting on the building

Inside St Mark's Basilica :) Walls & ceilings covered in gold :)

Another view from the top

I just love the fact that the 4 main Cathedrals I visited in Italy are all individually beautiful in their own ways, and so mesmerizing.

I'm so proud to be a Catholic, and to be able to see these Cathedrals with my own eyes is a huge blessing.

Did my prayers here as well, which means I've done prayers in 2 Cathedrals so far (1 here in Venice, and 1 was in Milan's Duomo), 2 more Cathedrals to go :)

Venice is such a beautiful city that I would love to revisit next time if there is a chance to. The people here are all so laid back, so different from the ones in big cities like Rome or Milan, and its beautiful island itself makes it different from all other cities in Italy.

Next post : Hello Florence!
